Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
ACDC, ACRP30 , Acrp30, AdipoQ
Adipocytes are highly active cells with potent autocrine, paracrine, and endocrine functions. Adiponectin is a serum protein produced and secreted exclusively by adipose tissues. Unlike insulin and leptin, adiponectin levels in plasma remain constant throμghout the day and are not acutely affected by food intake.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli expression recombinant mouse adiponectin
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
0.5 mg/ml protein A affinity purified rabbit anti-adiponectin polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). Based on researchers feedback, it can also be used in Immunoprecipitation (10-20 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects the 30 kDa adiponectin in samples from mouse, rat and human origins. Recombinant adiponectin (Cat.# 4901-25) can be used as a positive control.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
