Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
FES upstream region , FUR , FURIN , PACE , PCSK3 , SPC1
Furin is a ubiquitous protein located within the trans-Golgi network. It is found in many tissues and cell lines including MDCK, HeLa, HepG2 and NIH-3T3. Furin is a proprotein convertase that is responsible for the proteolytic maturation of many precursor proteins that are secreted from the constitutive secretory pathway
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat, bovine, sheep
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 779 of mouse Furin/PACE
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-Furin/PACE polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~95-110 kDa Furin/PACE. A splice variant (~60 kDa) can also be detected.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
