Description
Shikonin is a naturally occurring naphthoquinone derivative that displays anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties. Displays anti-angiogenic properties by inhibition of proliferation and migration of endothelial cells, blocking integrin αvβ3 expression,etc. Shikonin also inhibits cancer cell glycolysis by targeting tumor pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2).
