IGF-I (Insulin-like Growth Factor-I) is a polypeptide growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of cell types including muscle, bone, and cartilage tissue. Murine IGF-I is a 7.6 kDa protein containing 70 amino acid residues.

100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-murine IGF-I polyclonal antibody in phosphate (PBS, pH 7.2) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western Blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). Recombinant murine IGF-I (Cat.# 4120-20) can be used as a positive control. Per researcher’s feedback, the antibody also works well in Neutralization (2-6 µg/ml). However, the optimal condition should be determined individually.

IGF-I, IGF-II, insulin-like growth factors -1 and -2 are important regulators of signaling that mediates growth and metabolism in cells. Insulin-like growth factor -1 shares structural homology with proinsulin and is mainly produced by liver. IGF-1 acts via specific receptor, IGF-1R, a heterodimeric tyrosine kinase receptor that signals to various second messenger pathways such as MAPK, Raf/Ras and PI3K cascades.
