Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
GRO alpha, GRO, chemokine (C-X-C), KC
KC, a homolog of human and hamster gro/MGSA, is a 72-amino acid CXC chemokine originally cloned from rat macrophages and lung tissue. It is the mediator for recruitment and activation of netrophils in rat lung inflammation models. Expression of KC can be upregulated by LPS and IL-1β stimulation. IFN-g blocks LPS-induced expression of KC.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli-expressed rat KC
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) protein A purified rabbit anti-KC polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Neutralization
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml), Immunoprecipitation (3-5 µg/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (10-20 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
