Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
red fluorescent protein mCherry, mCherry red fluorescent protein
mCherry is the second generation monomeric red fluorescent protein that have improved brightness and photostability. The recombinant mCherry is expressed and purified from transformed E. coli using a method that ensures high purity and maximal fluorescence intensity. mCherry protein is a 28.8 kDa monomer with 256 amino acid.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli expressed recombinant mCherry
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
30 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-mCherry polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5 mM EDTA and 0.03% ProClin®
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Recombinant mCherry (Cat.#: 4993-100) can be used as a positive control.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
