Death Associated Protein 1 (DAP1) is a 15 kDa protein that functions as a positive mediator of cell death initiated by interferon-gamma. The DAP1 protein is praline-rich and possesses one SH3 binding motif, as well as several consensus protein kinase phosphorylation sites. The protein is localized in the cytoplasma, however the detailed mechanism of its proapoptotic function is unclear.

This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml) in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects the 25 kDa large subunit of caspase-8. It does not detect the full-length of caspase-8.
