Target of this antibody:
Acetyl-Histone H2A
Alternative names of antibody target:
H2AFX , H2A/X , H2A.X , H2AX , H2a/x
Background information:
The core histone proteins (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) in nucleosome undergo different posttranslational modifications including acetylation, phosphorylation, and methylation. These modifications occur in response to cell stimuli and play an important role in regulating gene expression.
Antibody host:
Clonality of antibody:
Rabbit IgG
This antibody reacts with:
human, mouse, rat
Immunogene sequence:
Concentration of antibody:
0.5 mg/ml
Form of antibody:
Colorless liquid
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) peptide affinity purified rabbit anti-Acetyl-Histone H2A polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.
Purification method:
Affinity purified
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, ImmunoprecipitationimmunoprecImmunoprecipitationitation, Immunohistochemistry
Recommended usage:
Western blotting (1-4 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation (10-20 µg/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (15-25 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Other applications have not been determined. The antibody detects 14 kDa Histone H2A when acetylated at Lys5 in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins. The antibody does not cross-react with other acetylated histones.
Storage information:
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Shipping conditions:
gel pack
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
N terminal acetylation or CH3CO as epigenetic regulation of anti- -Histone H2A Antibody by NATs. This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
