TAB1 (TAK1 binding protein 1) is an adaptor protein that can activate TAK1 in vivo throμgh phosphorylation of TAK1, a mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase. Once activated TAK1 phosphorylates MAPK kinase MKK4 and MKK3/6, which activate p38 MAPK and JNK, respectively.

This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (1-4 µg/ml). The optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes TAB1 in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. BaF3 cells can be used as positive controls. A ~60 kDa band should be detected.

The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
