Nectin is a cell-adhesion molecule that belongs to the immunoglobilin superfamily and is also known as the poliovirus receptor-related protein or PPR. Nectin family consists of Nectin 1 which expressed abundantly in the brain and Nectin 2 and 3 which are ubiquitously expressed in cells where cadherin are not expressed. Nectin-3 or PPR3 is a transmembrane protein that has three splicing variants: Nectin3α, Nectin 3β and Nectin 3g. Nectin-3 is mainly expressed in the testis and placental tissues and interacts in vivo with both long and short isoforms of afadin.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 536 of mouse Nectin-3
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-Nectin-3 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~ 83 kDa Nectin-3 of mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
