Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
RETN, RETN1, ADSF, Adipocyte Secreted Factor , FIZZ3, FIZZ 3
Resistin (also called adipose tissue-specific secretory factor, ADSF) is a member of the family of adipocyte-secreted proteins. Resistin appears to act on skeletal muscle myocytes, hepatocytes, and adipocytes themselves, where it is sμggested to reduce insulin sensitivity leading to type-2 diabetes.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Recombinant mouse Resistin
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
30 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-mouse Resistin polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). Based on researcher’s feedback, it can also be used in immunocytochemistry (10-20 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
