Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Tissue factor pathway inhibitor, TFPI, Extrinsic pathway inhibitor, EPI, Lipoprotein-associated coagulation inhibitor, LACI
TFPI is also known as lipoproteinassociated coagulation inhibitor (LACI). TFPI encodes a protease inhibitor that regulates the tissue factor (TF)-dependent pathway of blood coagulation. The coagulation process initiates the formation of factor VIIa-TF complex, which proteolytically activates additional proteases and this leads to the formation of a fibrin clot. The encoded protein is glycosylated and primarily found in the vascular endothelium and plasma.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acid 287 of human TFPI.
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) immunoaffinity purified rabbit anti-TFPI polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 5 mM EDTA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml).
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
