Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Fibroblast growth factor 8, FGF-8, Androgen-induced growth factor, AIGF, Heparin-binding growth factor 8, HBGF-8, FGF8, AIGF
Fibroblast Growth Factor-8 (FGF-8) is also known as Androgen-induced Growth Factor (AIGF), a heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express the FGF receptors. Recombinant human FGF-8 is a 22.4 kDa protein containing 193 amino acid residues.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli-expressed recombinant human FGF-8
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human FGF-8 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western Blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Recombinant human FGF-8 (Cat.# 4053-25) can be used as a positive control.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
