MDC (macrophage-derived chemokine) is a 69-amino acid CC chemokine with a N-terminal sequence of 24 residues as a signal sequence. It was originally cloned from human monocyte-derived macrophages. Recombinant MDC attracts monocyte-derived dendritic cells, activated lymphocytes and natural killer cells. MDC has anti-HIV-1 activity. Expression of MDC mRNA in macrophages is enhanced by LPS, IL-1β and TNFα. MDC is a functional ligand for CCR4.

100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-mouse MDC polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Rat spleen tissue lysate can be used as a positive control.

How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
