Target of this antibody:
Luciferase
Background information:
The Firefly luciferase is a genetically modified variant derived from the Luciferase of Diaphanes pectinealis endemic to Yunnan province, China. It has been modified to provide enhanced stability compared to the normal phenotype of Photinus pyralis as well as a broader and more physiologically relevant effective pH range. Luciferase has been used as a sensitive reporter for studying gene regulation and function. Firefly luciferase catalyzes the oxidative carboxylation of luciferin, a reaction with the highest efficiency of any known bioluminescence reaction.
Antibody host:
Goat
Clonality of antibody:
Polyclonal
Isotype:
Goat IgG
This antibody reacts with:
Luciferase
Immunogene sequence:
Recombinant Firefly luciferase
Concentration of antibody:
10.0mg/ml
Form of antibody:
Liquid
Formulation of this antibody:
500 µg (10 mg/ml) goat anti-Luciferase (firefly) polyclonal antibody in 0.02 M potassium Phosphate and 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2.
Purification method:
Affinity purified
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA
Recommended usage:
Western blotting (1:5000-20,000), ELISA (1:50,000-200,000), and Immunohistochemistry (1:1000-1:5000). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes firefly luciferase. It does not react with Renilla luciferase. Firefly luciferase can be used as a positive control.
Storage information:
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Shipping conditions:
gel pack
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
