Details

Target of this antibody:
RFP (dsRed)
Alternative names of antibody target:
Red Fluorescent Protein
Background information:
Since the molecular cloning of GFP cDNA and demonstration of GFP as a functional transgene, GFP has become a powerful tool with exciting applications in developmental, cell and molecular biology. RFP is the recent discovered protein that has the similar function and applications as GFP. Either GFP or RFP fluorescence is not species specific and can be expressed in bacteria, yeast, plant and mammalian cells. GFP or RFP can fuse with proteins of interest without interfering significantly with their assembly and function.

gel pack
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Fluorescent microspheres, beads and particles applications including blood flow determination, tracing, fluorimetry, in vivo imaging and calibration of imaging and flow cytometry instruments. Because our fluorescent dyes are incorporated in the bead and not just on the surface, they are relatively immune to photo bleaching and other environmental factors. Spheres are in difference sizes and fluorescences, high intensity, FITC, GFP, red, green, yellow, light yellow, sky blue, blue, orange, deep-red, Nile-red, purple, mcherry. The diameter of the spheres is usually higher than 50nm and in the micrometer um range.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
