Alternative names of antibody target:
Epidermal Growth Factor
EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) is polypeptide growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. Human EGF is a 6.2 kDa protein containing 53 amino acid residues.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli expressed recombinant human EGF
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human EGF polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Neutralization
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). Recombinant human EGF (Cat.# 4022-10) can be used as a positive control. Per customer’s feedback, it can also be used in Neutralization and Elisa. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
