TNF-RI
Alternative names of antibody target:
TNF-R1, Tumor Necrosis Factor type I, TNFRSF1A, TNFAR, TNF-R55, TNFR60, p55, CD120a
Background information:
Tumor Necrosis Factor receptor type I (TNF-RI) is also referred as p60. The p60 form of the receptor is primarily expressed on epithelial cells. Recombinant Human soluble TNF receptor Type I (sTNF-RI) is a 18.3 kDa protein containing 162 amino acid residues comprising the extra cellular domain of TNF Receptor Type I.

Polyclonal
Isotype:
Rabbit IgG
This antibody reacts with:
Human
Immunogene sequence:
E. coli expressed recombinant human sTNF-RI
Concentration of antibody:
0.5 mg/ml
Form of antibody:
Liquid
Formulation of this antibody:
30 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human sTNF-RI polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol and 0.01% thimerosal.

Affinity purified
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot
Recommended usage:
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). Recombinant human sTNF-RI (Cat.# 4348-20) can be used as a positive control. Per researcher’s feedback, the antibody can also be used in neutralization. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Storage information:
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Shipping conditions:
gel pack
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Gene
Tumor necrosis factor (TNFa, tumor necrosis factor alpha, TNFα, cachexin, or cachectin) is a cell signaling protein (cytokine) involved in systemic inflammation and is one of the cytokines that make up the acute phase reaction. It is produced chiefly by activated macrophages, although it can be produced by many other cell types such as CD4+ lymphocytes, NK cells, neutrophils, mast cells, eosinophils, and neurons. TNFb or TNF beta also bin on TNF receptors for Th1 activation.
