Target of this antibody:
DNMT2
Alternative names of antibody target:
TRDMT1, M.HsaIIP, PuMet, RNMT1
Background information:
Dnmt2 belongs to the family of DNA cytosine methyltransferases. Dnmt2, however, lacks the large N-terminal regulatory domain common to other eukaryotic methyltransferases and does not methylate CpG in genomic DNA. Instead, it specifically methylates cytosine 38 in the anticodon loop of Asp transfer RNA.
Antibody host:
Rabbit
Clonality of antibody:
Polyclonal
Isotype:
Rabbit IgG
Clone:
N/A
This antibody reacts with:
Mouse.
Immunogene sequence:
Polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against mouse Dnmt2 (DNA methyltransferase 2), using a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide containing an amino acid sequence from the N-terminal part of the protein.

How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

About
Polyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera.
