Details

Background
IL-12 is a potent regulator of cell mediated immune responses and in induces IFN-Ɣ production by NK and T cells. It is produced by activated monocytes/macrophage cells, B-lymphocytes, and connective tissue type mast cells. Among its biological activities, IL-12 promotes the growth and activity of activated NK, CD4+, and CD8+ cells and induce the development of IFN-Ɣ producing Th1 cells.

Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
