Description
KEY FEATURES: • HPDP contains a dithiopyridyl group which is reactive towards sulfhydryl groups (-SH) such as in cysteine (C) side chain to form stable disulfide bond • Contains a spacer arm with a length of 29.2 Å that prevents steric hindrance to biotin labeling • The spacer is cleavable at the disulfide bond with reducing agent, such as DTT, TCEP, etc. • Must be dissolved in an organic solvent such as DMF or DMSO before dilution with aqueous buffers APPLICATIONS: • Ideal for biotinylating antibody or protein for use in protein detection, purification or immobilization

Properties
Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.
Conjugation
Biotinylated
