Description
MTT is a tetrazolium salt used for determining cell viability. MTT produces a yellowish solution that is converted to dark blue, water-insoluble MTT formazan by mitochondrial dehydrogenases of living cells. The formazan is then solubilized and its concentration determined by optical density.
