Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Flow cytometryN1 , Flow cytometryNM , ficolin 1
Ficolin-1 also known as M-Ficolin is a pattern recognition molecule of the lectin complement activation pathway. It is expressed mostly in monocytes, nuetrophils and in type II alveolar epithelial cells. Ficolin-1 is detected on the surface of circulating monocytes but is not present in the plasma. Ficolin-1 has a 28 aa signal sequence, an N-terminal collagen domain and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like (FBG) domain that contain a calcium binding site and a potential N-glycosylation site.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 320 of rat Ficolin-1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~33 kDa Ficolin-1 and a 37 kDa Ficolin-1 precursor in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
