Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
PAX 1 , PAX1 ,PXN , FLJ16691 , FLJ23042
Paxillin is one of the key components of integrin signaling. Tyrosine phosphorylation of paxillin is required for integrin-mediated cytoskeletal reorganization. Paxillin is phosphorylated by another focal adhesion component, focal adhesion kinase (FAK), at tyrosine 118. Phospho-Tyr118 may provide a docking site for recruitment of other signaling molecules to focal adhesions.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the C-terminal sequence of human Paxillin
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (1-2 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
