Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
CREB-regulated transcription coactivator 2; transducer of regulated cAMP response element-binding protein 2; TORC-2; transducer of CREB protein 2
Torc2 (transducer of regulated CREB activity 2) is a key regulator of fasting glucose metabolism. Sequestered in the cytoplasm under feeding conditions, TORC2 is dephosphorylated and transported to the nucleus where it enhances CREB-dependent transcription in response to fasting stimuli.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 676 of rat TORC2
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-TORC2 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
The antibody can be used for Western blotting (0.5–4 µg/ml).
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
