Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
BCL3 , D19S37 , BCL4
Bcl-3, a proto-oncogene, is believed to be involved in certain human B cell leukemias. It encodes a protein that functions as an IkB-like molecule for native NFkB, but is specific for the p50 subunit of NFkB.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 424 of human Bcl-3
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.2 mg/ml) Protein G affinity purified rabbit anti-Bcl-3 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry
Western blot analysis (2-4 µg/ml). Per researchers feedback, the antibody also works well in Immunoprecipation (10-20 µg/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (20-40 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Detects 55-60 kDa Bcl-3 of human, mouse, and rat origins. Other species have not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
