Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
TNFRSF10B, TRICKB,TRANCE-R, ZTNFR9, CD262, TRICK2A, Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER
DR5 is the DD containing receptor for TRAIL, Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, or KILLER. DR5 transcript is widely expressed in normal tissues and in many types of tumor cells. Like DR3 and TNFR1, DR5 mediate apoptosis by FADD dependent pathway. Over-expression of DR5 induces apoptosis and activates NFkB.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acid 372 of mouse DR5 precursor
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.2 mg/ml) immunoaffinity purified rabbit anti-DR5 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects 60 kDa DR5 in samples of human and mouse origins
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
