Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
5'-AMP-activated protein kinase catalytic subunit alpha-1, AMPK1
AMPK1 belongs to the ser/thr protein kinase family. It is the catalytic subunit of the 5'-prime-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is a cellular energy sensor conserved in all eukaryotic cells. The kinase activity of AMPK is activated by the stimuli that increase the cellular AMP/ATP ratio. AMPK regulates the activities of a number of key metabolic enzymes throμgh phosphorylation. It protects cells from stresses that cause ATP depletion by switching off ATP-consuming biosynthetic pathways.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide selected from the N-terminal region of human AMPK1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.25 mg/ml) purified rabbit Ig polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
ELISA, Western blot
The antibody can be used for ELISA (0.25 µg/ml) and Western blotting (2.5 – 5.0 µg/ml).
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
