Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Tumor necrosis factor ligand, TNF14, TNF 14, TNF-14
LIGHT is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF family of membrane-anchored ligands. It is expressed in splenocytes, activated PBL, CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes. LIGHT has the ability to activate NFkB, stimulate proliferation of lymphocytes, and induce apoptosis in certain human tumor cells. LIGHT binds to three receptors; the herpes virus entry mediator type A receptor (HEVM), LTbR and a decoy receptor (DcR3).
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Recombinant human LIGHT
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-1 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects human LIGHT. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
