DNA mismatch repair genes have been found to be associated with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC). Inherited mutations in the MSH2 were demonstrated at high frequency in HNPCC and were shown to be associated with microsatellite instability. The demonstration that 10 to 45% of pancreatic, gastric, breast, ovarian and small cell lung cancers also display microsatellite instability sμggests that DNA mismatch repair is not restricted to HNPCC tumors but is a common feature in tumor initiation or progression.

This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry
Western blotting (1-4 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation (15-25 µg/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (15-25 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes the MSH2 of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
