Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
MIP-1, MIP1, MIP 1, MIP-1b, MIP 1b, MIP 1 beta, macrophge inhibitory protein-1 beta, macrophge inhibitory protein 1 beta, macrophge inhibitory protein
MIP-1β (macrophage inflammatory protein-1β) is a 69-amino acid CC chemokine with a molecular weight of 7.8 kDa. MIP-1β induces migration of monocytes/macrophages, and activates CD4+ cells, but not NK cells and eosinophils.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli-expressed recombinant mature rat MIP-1β (a.a. 1-69)
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) Protein A purified rabbit anti-rat MIP-1β polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, Neutralization
Western blot analysis (0.5-1 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation (4-8 µg/ml), and neutralization. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
