Target of this antibody:
Bcl-2-related protein A1
Alternative names of antibody target:
A1 (also designated Bfl-1) is a Bcl-2 family protein that dimerizes with both Bcl-2 and Bax, and has been identified as a hematopoietic-specific, early inducible gene. Althoμgh A1 demonstrated properties similar to those of Bcl-2, its function may be more temporally regulated during myeloid differentiation and is dependent on additional growth stimuli to confer its life promoting properties. A1 is abundantly expressed in bone marrow and at low levels in other tissues. A1 expression has been correlated to stomach cancer.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 37 of human A1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.2 mg/ml) protein A purified rabbit anti-A1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The A1 antibody detects A1 (Bfl-1) of human, mouse, and rat origins.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
