Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
IL-21, IL21R, IL 21R, Interluekin-21R, Interleukin 21R, interluekin21R
IL-21 is a novel cytokine that was recently identified in human and mouse. It has significant homology to IL-2, IL-4, and IL-15. The receptor for IL-21 (IL-21R, also termed NILR for novel interleukin receptor) is a new member of the class I cytokine receptor family. IL-021R forms a complex with the common cytokine receptor g chain and mediates IL-21 signaling. IL-21 and its receptor activates JAK-STAT signaling pathway. IL-21 is expressed in activated T cells, HL-60, and THP-1 cell lines. IL-21 plays an important role in the proliferation and maturation of NK, B and T cell populations.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 20-32 of human IL-21R precursor
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity-purified rabbit anti-human IL-21R polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot analysis (1 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Human A431 cell lysates can be used as a positive control and an approximately 60 kDa band should be detected.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
