Physical form description
Recombinant Serpin E1/PAI-1 is lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20 mM HAc-NaAc, 150 mM NaCl, pH 4.0.
Reconstitution Instructions
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Recombinant Human SERPIN E1 in PBS not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Handling
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
Usage
For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
Gene
Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) also known as endothelial plasminogen activator inhibitor or serpin E1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SERPINE1 gene. Elevated PAI-1 is a risk factor for thrombosis and atherosclerosis
