Description
Evans Blue is a potent inhibitor of the uptake of L-glutamate into synaptic vesicles. Evans blue also inhibits AMPA and kainate receptor-mediated currents with IC₅₀ values of 220 and 150 nM respectively. Also acts as a P2X-selective purinoceptor antagonist.
