Alternative names of antibody target:
BYE1, C20orf158, DATF1, DIDO2, DIDO3, DIO-1, DIO1, DKFZp434P1115, FLJ11265, KIAA0333, MGC16140, dJ885L7.8
Apoptosis plays an important role in many cellular processes. Dio-1 (Death Inducer-O bliterator-1), a putative transcription factor, has been indicated to function in the onset of apoptosis. Dio-1 expression is upregulated when an apoptosis is detected. It translocates to the nucleus, and activates apoptosis during limb development. Dio-1 expression can be suppressed by caspase inhibitors and Bcl-2 expression.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide near the N-terminus of mouse Dio-1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.2 mg/ml) protein A purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. Other applications have not been tested. The antibody recognizes the 62 kDa human and mouse Dio-1 in Western blot analysis. Jurkat cell lysate and mouse small intestine tissue lysate can be used as positive controls.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
