Fas-associating death domain containing protein (FADD), also known as mediator of receptor induced toxicity (MORT1), is a 23 kDa cytosolic protein with an apparent molecular weight of 28 kDa on SDS-PAGE. The protein is involved in both Fas and TNF-R induced cell death pathway. FADD specifically binds to Fas to initiate the apoptotic signalling cascade. Overexpression of FADD induces apoptosis.

This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml)and can also be used in immunoprecipitation. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects an ~28 kDa band, corresponding to the expected molecular mass of FADD on immunoblots.

The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
