Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
TUBB , TUBB1 , TUBB2 , Tubulin beta 2 , Tubulin beta 2A , Tubulin beta , Alpha tubulin
Microtubules are one type of cytoskeleton. Globular tubulin subunits are the building blocks of a microtubule and the α and β-tubulin heterodimer forms the tubulin subunits, which is present in all eukaryotic cells. Microtubules mediate many cell movements.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
ynthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human β-Tubulin
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. HeLa cell or Jurkat cell lysate can be used as a positive control. The antibody recognizes 55 kDa β-tubulin in samples of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been determined.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
