Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Etk is a member of the Bruton’s tyrosine kinase family. Etk is expressed in a variety of hematopoietic, epithelial and endothelial cells. It participates in multiple signal transduction pathways. Phosphorylation of tyrosine 566 by Src kinase is required for activation of Etk in vivo. In endothelial and epithelial cells, Etk is regulated by FAK throμgh phosphorylation at tyrosine 40.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 30 of human Etk/BMX
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-Etk/BMX polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 5 mM EDTA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Blocking peptide (Cat.# 3398BP-50) is available separately.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
