Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Tumor Endothelial Marker 8 , TEM-8, TEM8 , ATR , FLJ10601 , FLJ11298 , FLJ21776
Tumor Endothelial Markers (TEMs, TEM 1-9) are recently identified genes, whose expression is elevated in tumor-associated endothelium. TEMs are barely detectable in normal endothelial cells. TEM8 has been shown to interact with C5 domain of collagen a3(VI), a protein also preferentially expressed in tumor endothelium. It is thoμght that TEM8 may play a role in tumor angiogenesis.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 484 of Mouse TEM8
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.2mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-TEM8/ATR1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.5% BSA, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~80-85 kDa doublet of TME8 in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
