Target of this antibody:
FOXP3
Alternative names of antibody target:
foxp3 , Forkhead box P3 , IPEX , JM2 , MGC141961 , MGC141963 , PIDX , XPID
Background information:
FOXP3 a member of the forkhead/winge-helix family of transcriptional regulators and is highly conserved in humans. It has been proposed that FOXP3 may be a master regulatory gene and marker for Treg cells. Recent reports also sμggest expression of FOXP3 on subpopulation of rat CD8+ cells.
Antibody host:
Rabbit
Clonality of antibody:
Polyclonal
Isotype:
Rabbit IgG
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse
Immunogene sequence:
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acids 412 of mouse FOXP3
Concentration of antibody:
0.5 mg/ml
Form of antibody:
Liquid
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) Protein A affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.
Purification method:
Affinity purified
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot
Recommended usage:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~52 kDa FOXP3 from samples of human, mouse and rat origins. Mouse small intestine and rat kidney tissue lysates can be used as positive controls.
Storage information:
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Shipping conditions:
gel pack
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Gene
Forkhead Box Protein P3 scurfin FOXP3, is a protein involved in immune system responses. A member of the FOX protein family, FOXP3 appears to function as a master regulator of the regulatory pathway in the development and function of regulatory T cells. Foxp3 or forkhead box P3 or skurfin or scurfin or skurfina is also known as IPEX, AIID, PIDX, XPID and DIETER.
