Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
FOXO1a, forkhead box O1a, FKH1, forkhead homolog1, FKHR, forkhead rhabdomysarcoma
This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in myogenic growth and differentiation. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide of human FOXO1a
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µl affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% thimerosal
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation
Western blotting (1:500 – 1:2,000) and immunoprecipitation. However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes human FOXO1a. HEK293 cell lysate can be used as a positive control. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
