Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
RbBP5, Retinoblastoma binding protein 5; RBQ3, Retinoblastoma binding protein RBQ3
Retinoblastoma binding protein 5 (RbBP5) belongs to a highly conserved subfamily of WD-repeat proteins and it is also a subunit of a human Set1-like histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex. The encoded RbBP 5protein interacts preferentially with the underphosphorylated retinoblastoma protein via the E1A-binding pocket B
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 504 of mouse RbBP5
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 μg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. Jurkat cell can be used as a positive control. Reacts with human/mouse/rat. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
