Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
DMP-1, DMP 1
DMP-1 (Dentin matrix protein1) is a member of the integrin ligand N-linked glycoprotein family. It is mostly found in bone, tooth and hypertrophic cartilage. DMP-1 plays an important role in dentin and bone mineralization. DMP-1 has multiple serine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid residues, a GAG attachement site and RGD motif. DMP-1 is proteolytically proceesed into mulitple fragemtns in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of bone and dentin.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 21 of rat DMP-1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-DMP-1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~60-130 kDa DMP- 1 of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
