Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
OX 40 , OX-40, OX40 antigen, TNFRSF4, TNR4, OX40L Receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 4
OX40 is also known as CD134 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TNFR). OX40 plays an important role in CD4+ and CD8+T-cells and B-cells response. Binding of OX40 to its ligand, OX40L provides co-stimulatory signal to effector T-cells without CD28 activation.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 255 of rat OX40
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes the 50 kDa full length as well as the 30 kDa and 20 kDa subunits of OX40 in Western blot analysis. Reacts with rat. Other species have not been determined.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
