Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Human Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) is a member of the leukemia inhibitory/ciliary neurotrophic factor/Oncostatin M/interleukin-6/interleukin-11 family of cytokines. Cardiotrophin-1 affects cells throμgh interaction with the gp 130 receptor subunit. Recombinant human Cardiotrophin-1 is a 22.5 kDa protein containing 200 amino acid residues.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli-expressed recombinant human CT-1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human CT-1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 5mM EDTA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western Blot analysis (1-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Recombinant human CT-1 (Cat.# 4011-10) can be used as a positive control.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
