Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
FGF1, FGF-1, FGF 1, Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, FGF 1, FGF1, Heparin-binding growth factor 1, HBGF-1, Acidic fibroblast growth factor, aFGF, Putative heparin-binding growth factor 1, Alpha-endothelial cell growth factor, Endothelial cell growth factor alpha
FGF-1 is an acidic heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. Human FGF-1 is a 15.8 kDa protein containing 140 amino acid residues.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli expressed recombinant human FGF-1
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti- human FGF-1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Neutralization
Western blot analysis (0.5-2 µg/ml). Per researchers feedback, it also works well in ELISA (2-3 µg/ml), and neutralization (3-6 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
