Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Lymphopoietin 1(LP-1), pre-B cell factor
IL-7 is a hematopoietic growth factor which affects primarily early B and T cells. Produced by thymic stromal cells, spleen cells and keratinocytes, IL-7 can also co-stimulate the proliferation of mature T cells in combination with other factors such as Con A and IL-2. Human and murine IL-7 is cross-species reactive.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E.coli derived Recombinant Human IL-7
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
A sterile filtered antibody solution in PBS, pH 7.2.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, ELISA, Neutralization
1) WB: Use 0.1-0.2 µg/ml. The detection limit for recombinant human IL-7 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.2) ELISA: Use 0.5 - 2.0 μg/ml (100 μl/well antibody solution) 3) Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of Human IL-7 (1.0 ng/ml), a concentration of 0.04 - 0.06 µg/ml of this antibody is required.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
