Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
apo-lipoprotein, apolipoprotein, apolipoprotein-SAA, apolipoproteinSAA, apolipoprotein SAA, apo-SAA, apoSAA, apo SAA
Human apo-SAA is a 104 amino acid polypeptide that circulates primarily in association with high-density lipoproteins (HDL). The level of apo-SAA, normally 1-5 µg/ml in plasma, increases 500-1000 fold within 24 hours of an inflammatory stimulus and, under these conditions, is the most abundant HDL apo-lipoprotein. The human SAA gene codes for a 122 amino acid polypeptide, which contains an 18 amino acid N-terminal signal sequence.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Recombinant human Apo-SAA
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
30 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.5% BSA, 30% glycerol and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. Recombinant human Apo-SAA (Cat.# 4324-50) can be used as a positive control. The antibody recognizes ~13 kDa recombinant human Apo-SAA. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
