Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 10, Apo-2 ligand, Apo-2L, TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand, Protein TRAIL
Human TRAIL (TNF-Related Apoptosis Inducing Ligand), also called Apo2 Ligand (Apo2L), is a cytotoxic protein that activates rapid apoptosis in tumor cells, but not at normal cells. Human TRAIL/Apo2L is a single polypeptide chain containing 168 amino acids and has a molecular mass of 19.6 kDa.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli-expressed recombinant human TRAIL
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human TRAIL polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 5mM EDTA and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western Blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Recombinant human TRAIL (Cat.# 4354-10) can be used as a positive control.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
